Versions of The Self premature review
Poetry encapsulates readers, allowing the time to think in serious fashion about what the writer speaks so passionately about. Versions of the Self is more than mere poetry, it’s a vision of a life, so far as I read the beginning pages, I find myself diving deep into the struggling moments of Birmingham’s life.
This collection of poems, no, it’s more than that. Written in a storytelling way. The self, is a journal from a woman who pours her soul in a unique way, the poetry reads like a novel. So far, it’s progression seems sequential…
If not for myself diving deep into each poem individually, connecting and trying to grasp the buried meaning of this author, I could easily get caught up turning page after page, rapidly.
Christy has made this available for free to her kindle unlimited readers, which I happen to be. If you happen to read this with your subscription, it’s always respectful to share a review for her.
Looking forward to finishing this within the next few days and sharing with you my complete Amazon review.
